(Português do Brasil) Destinos Piauí
Piauí is the state with the smallest extension of the coast: it is only 66 km. This small stretch, however, is privileged by the best wind conditions for the practice of sports such as Kite Surfing. It also has the Parnaíba River Delta (the only one in the open sea in the Americas) with countless islands, lagoons, snuff and fine sand beaches, Taken by dunes and coconut trees. Its capital Teresina, on the banks of the Parnaíba river, is the only one of the northeastern capitals that is not located on the coast and this is due to colonization.
Unlike the rest of the Northeast, the state was occupied from the interior to the coast.
In the Southeast, the archaeological sites of the Serra da Capivara National Park, considered Cultural Heritage of Humanity by Humanity, prove that man appeared on the American continent longer than one can imagine.
