The only capital of the Northeast Region that is not located on the coast is rewarded by the Parnaíba and Poty rivers and receives tourists attracted by the beauty of the meeting of the waters of the two rivers. Teresina was the first planned capital in Brazil. With temperatures ranging from 22°C to 38°C, summer is present throughout the year, even in the rainy months from December to April. Full of parks and squares, residents are in constant contact with the wide variety of species of regional flora. The region benefits from the local nature, which earned it the nickname of Cidade Verde, granted by the poet Coelho Neto. The capital also stands out for being a hub for health, fashion and companies.
