The main attraction of the smallest Brazilian National Park is the Gruta de Ubajara. In the region it is also possible to find waterfalls and enjoy different forms of vegetation from the caatinga to the humid forest. The Ubajara Cave is formed by limestone shaped by groundwater. To go down to the main mouth of the cave, there are two options: take the Ubajara – Araticum trail or take the cable car that takes you from the plateau to the lower part. The cave is 1,120 meters long, 420 of which are artificially lit and open to visitors. The route inside the cave begins in the Image Room, passing through the Corridor das Maravilhas and the Rose, Curtains, Portraits, Breasts, Índio and Nativity rooms. Cachoeira do Cafundó is located on the Riacho Bela Vista, which is a tributary of the Ubajara River. Before the biggest fall, a natural pool forms which is a good opportunity to cool off from the heat.
